In 2023, Make a Change Foundation stepped in to support a very poor family in Mandvi, located in the Kutch region of India, after they were found living in extremely unsafe and collapsing housing conditions. Following the death of the family’s main breadwinner due to illness, the remaining members were left in a destitute state, with no means to secure a safe home on their own

Their existing house was beyond repair and had to be completely rebuilt from scratch to ensure basic safety and dignity. Upon learning of their situation, Make a Change Foundation acted swiftly—working with local authorities and community partners to arrange temporary accommodation and begin planning for a new permanent home.

A dedicated fundraising effort was launched to cover rebuilding and relocation costs, ensuring the family could regain stability and hope for the future.
